I got a defective wall oven (JTS5000SV3SS). It makes a loud metal vibration noise when it starts every time from day one. And over the days the vibration has become worse. Have been spending hours to work with customer service to repair/return the product. GE obviously not able to keep a very basic quality of its products. What a shame!

The oven is good but there are a couple of things that I would change if I could. It takes quite a while to pre-heat and you can't use the air fryer without wifi which is so weird! What if you were elderly and didn't have wifi, you can't use it. Not good.

The user interface is sometimes too sphisticated, leading to errors. The timer needs to have 2 sets of two modes: One control for start now or start after preheating is done, and one control for turn oven off at the end or just sound the alarm and keep the oven on. The other issue is having a repeat of the menu under "convection". It would be better to choose regular/convection, with the default settable under settings, and then have one menu with Bake etc. Another issue is the registration and WiFi interface - the 5000 series supports Bluetooth and has a much better and more streamlined process. I had to call support to navigate the WiFi connection, and I am an electronics engineer.

We™€™ve had this oven installed since Thanksgiving 2025. It is nothing like the oven we used to have (this one has an air fryer option other than that it™€™s the same) We cannot get the temperature to regulate. It is awful making cookies in there, which is my main primary reason for using an oven. They come out well done (yuck) doesn™€™t matter which position I put the rack in the first set will be fine and then the second set will be burnt in the same amount of time. We have a thermometer in there and the temperature is set for 350. It gets to 350, and then it goes down to 325 for no reason. The temperature fluctuation is awful.

Oven looks good, nice roll-out rack, BUT warm-up is very slow, sensor consistently reads far under actual temperature (as verified by several oven thermometers) for at least 20 minutes, despite having been replaced under warranty- we just gave up calling for replacements as they insisted that was normal. The sensor under-reading is bad in convection mode as well, so I seriously doubt the "no-preheat air fry" claim. SLOW-HEAT would be more accurate. The convection fan transmits a vibration into the wall that is audible in the room behind it. Very annoying. Obviously proper isolation of the oven was not incorporated into it, or was not required during installation. Our previous 25 year-old GE electric ovens were far superior to this one.

Got this oven as a surprise. I HATE it. Touch screen only with no buttons--easier to break and harder to use. What is the point of a smart ove ? Why do I have to have to connect to WiFi to use an airfrier? Bells and whistles built in just so they can break easier and be replaced sooner. Installers hauled our old oven away, or I would return this monstrosity. I want my old "dumb" oven back. Looks like that isn't an option with any GE products. Shame on you, GE.

I like the new oven. We haven™€™t tried the air fry feature yet but otherwise it™€™s been good. However it seems to actually not be square, like the racks slide at the start but then get all jammed up and actually scratched the inside paint as the installer and then we tried to move them. I thought he had just been struggling to get them aligned so I didn™€™t think anything of it until later when I was trying to use it. But this was replacing a dead oven and I™€™d been waiting so long for it, and by the time we realized the issue I honestly wasn™€™t going to have it and the new stove above all removed to deal with this annoying issue. So I guess the oven paint will never be new and once again modern appliances have slightly let me down in their lack of consistent quality.

Got this brand new and the temperature was all over the place. Set to 350 degrees and said it was preheats, but at 325 degrees. I gave it 10 more minutes and it was at 410. I have disconnected the power and tried again but still a mess. Went online to get help and it was a mess, called the phone number and after holding for 15 minutes, I got a person who hung up on me. Finally got an appointment and soonest is in 3 weeks. I™€™m sure cooking Thanksgiving for my extended family will be very difficult.

Am very happy with the performance of the oven. The controls are easy to use. Temperature is spot on However I had a spill that I didn™€™t notice and used oven again. After leaning it there is a permanent black spot on oven floor What I didn™€™t like is that it came with 2 racks so I had to order the 3rd. That was an expense. With the price of the oven you would think a 3rd rack should be included.
