I'm not liking this coffee maker much. I've had it for a few months and it still has a burnt plastic smell. Even my coffee smells like that. I thought it would go away, but it hasn't. Also, in order to get ALL the water and coffee out, you have to lift it ALL the way upside down. The water and coffee won't completely empty the unless you tip totally upside down. That bugs me.........

The pot has a little lip that causes water and coffee to get trapped. How the pot seats itself is also kind of frustrating. Coffee has been good though. I did expect a little better quality from the brand.

I love this coffee maker. The size is perfect because the most we drink at a time is 10 cups and I love the thermal carafe to keep it warm without that burnt taste. I've used the smaller brew option a couple of times and I think it's a nice feature but not a major selling point, although it would do great for iced coffee. The only improvement on design that I would like is that the top cover to the unit could open slightly further so it sits open on its own easier. It's not something that would keep me from purchasing it though. Overall, great coffee maker that I would purchase again, pending it lasts 3+years.

Excellent product. It keeps coffee hot for a couple of hours and is high capacity. It is also programable for 4 cups or less, which is what I use daily. Certainly will use it when company stays overnight.

Love GE products especially the coffee makers. I have been purchasing GE coffee makers for years. The heating plate needs to be revamp. The latest coffee maker I have, there is an issue with the heating plate. Even though I decrease the temp, it didn't help.

Out of the box, the brewer smelled like strong plastic odor. We rinsed and brewed with water only +5 times, then called GE customer service for a solution. After 30 minutes phone hold, agent said to rinse unit with water and dish soap. Then thoroughly rinse again. Allowed to sit lid open for two weeks, before actually brewing coffee.

When you fill with water there is no marking inside the steel pot. So, there is a chance for over fills and under fill. The lip of the pot needs redesigned. This is one of very few product mistakes, which I have been buying G/E for years. This is the first time that I am ashamed to say "let the buyer beware.

There™™s no sense in buying a thermal carafe when the coffee isn™™t even hot. It is lukewarm at best. Also, the carafe is designed so that it™™s nearly impossible to pour the coffee. You have to literally turn the entire car upside down to empty all the contents.

Broken funnel, no way to reorder parts!!

After three uses, the plunger at the bottom of the funnel fell off and can't be properly reattached. I've spent two weeks trying to find a new part or order a whole new funnel. BUT, there is no information about ordering parts on this site. I went ahead and tried ordering a new funnel on Amazon but it doesn't fit. I'm extremely frustrated!

I love the look of this machine and coffee flavor it produces. However, it's noisier than expected. I've also had problems with coffee grounds bubbling over and spilling into the pot while brewing. Other than that, I'm very pleased with the machine.
