removes humidity in basement just fine, but when preset level is reached and goes even lower, unit continues to run!! electricity isn't cheap plus the fact that it will wear out much sooner!!

While only time will tell regarding how long this dehumidifier will provide service, so far this is *the best* dehumidifier my wife and I have purchased. We are using the dehumidifier in a basement of a 1930's home in Milwaukee -- the basement gets rather damp. The dehumidifier is not silent however it is the quietest dehumidifier we've owed, even with the fan set to "Turbo Fan". Also, this thing pulls a remarkable amount of water out of the air; so far it has been filling its bucket in under 24 hours. Would recommend to my friends.

This 60 Pint Dehumidifier absolutely works much better than I expected. It dropped the humidity down from 66% to 40% quickly after initial setup. You have it listed as not terribly quiet but I think it is especially compared to my last dehumidifier. Also, the holding tank is easy to remove and put back in, another plus. I am quite happy with my purchase and for the way it works and the quality of the unit, I think it is very reasonably priced.

After receiving the dehumidifier, waiting for the freon to settle, and turning it on, it has been running almost nonstop since. Humidity level set to 50%. It's has almost caught to the point of not running constantly but, springtime in NJ can be wet and humid. Overall, I'm very happy with the performance of the product.

this unit is used in a high humidity area in an aquarium filter room , it performs great and is a great machine that keeps our room at perfect humidity and is not to loud and easy to maintain , we recommend it highly and are very pleased so far with the overall functionality and looks of its presents

I hope a Frigidaire customer relations person will read this review and will pass along the information to the people that maybe can do something about the fact that these dehumidifiers consistently only last 1-2 seasons.The last one to stop working was a model FFAP033T1E, a 70 Pint unit. The original unit, model FAD704DWD had a 5 year warranty, so it was replaced 5 times!!! Each unit showed the dreaded FO error code after 1 or 2 seasons. I have seen many reviews in several sites, including some in this site where people complain about their units dying after just 1 or 2 years of use. Even the new models, which are now 60 pints units, are getting reviews saying the same thing. How is it possible that Frigidaire has not solved the problem that is causing the units to stop working after such a short time? The people responding to some of the reviews here appear surprised at the reviews that complain of their unit dying, when in fact they probably get hundreds of complaints like this daily. I also found out that the warranty has now been decreased from 5 years to 1 year! This means that there is no chance of getting a replacement once the unit dies after 1 or 2 seasons.I really like the dehumidifier while it's working. Its has nice features and works well, but not for long. I was actually considering purchasing one of the new 60 pint models, but then I saw reviews complaining about the same issue!It is really a shame that Frigidaire continues to sell these units that they know will fail within 1-2 years and will have to be thrown out, most probably going to landfills and have a terrible effect on the environment.I would like to ask Frigidaire to address this problem to try to improve their product. Why is it that the old dehumidifiers lasted for years and years (I have a Sears unit that has been working for about 40 years and still going!), but Frigidaire can't make a unit that lasts even 3 years?I implore Frigidaire to address the issue!!

Purchased this unit in July of 2020 for our encapsulated Crawlspace and it worked fine keeping the humidity down to 45%. However I noticed this winter, the humidity was up to 65% in the crawlspace so I reset the unit and cleaned out the filter but no change. Looks like the longevity is similar to other box store u it™™s, about 2 years.

This is our third Frigidaire dehumidifier. The dehumidifiers that we had before that were not effective at reducing the humidity in our basement, but the Frigidaire dehumidifiers have done a much better job. They only last 2 to 4 years, but they are effective.

My previous Frigidaire dehumidifier worked flawlessly and practically non-stop for almost 20 years. This new unit works as well or better than the one it replaces. Very efficient, and has no trouble maintaining 50% humidity in a 2.5 car garage.

It works great and safety an issue™"as I also don™™t have to be concerned about fires as a number of other (unheard of) brand names have caused a lot of damage this year. The humidity in our unconditioned garage was consistently 70-85%. We bought the Frigidaire 3 weeks ago and since then it's managed to keep that space at 45%. The garage now feels better and smells better. I am happy with it!

This is by far the best dehumidifer we have purchased and worth the extra money. This unit is in a vac coastal home where the humidity is high in a finished basement. The reduction in humidity is quick but best of all the air quality is amazing. Plan to but more for primary residence.

This unit was a replacement for your older 95 Pint unit that died 4 times, but was great at removing the moisture when it did work (usually lasting under a year). This 60 pint unit does not approach anywhere near the moisture removal of the 95 pint unit. We will see how long it lasts.

I have had this machine running for 48 hours at the time of this review. I just got through emptying the container for the 3rd time. I put this in the downstairs basement that is fully finished. I cannot believe it pulled that much water out of the air. On top of handling the humidity just fine it also improved the overall freshness of the air.

Bought this not too long ago. Still getting used to it. One thing, the continuous drain feature is not working. I have an unobstructed hose connected to the back of it the same as the old Frigidaire dehumidifier it replaced. Instead of the water flowing thru the tube it fills the internal tank.

This unit has no problems keeping my basement at a moderate humidity level. I let it run continuously for a week before setting the level to 45%. Now it runs periodically as it should. Good overall quality with no issues in operation. Low noise level that is not unpleasant or distracting.

This dehumidifier works very well. It dehumidifies our whole house. We have a problem with dust mites and need to keep the humidity below 50%. It dropped the humidity in our house from about 56% to 41%.

Costs half as much to operate as my old unit. New unit rated 4.1 amps, actual draw about 3.65A for 60 pints; old unit rated 7.5A drew 7.1A for 40 pint unit. Using KilAWatt monitor old unit cost me $56/month to run; new Frigidaire $26.78, so it will pay for itself in about 14 months vs old one! This unit COSTS MORE, but DO RESEARCH. This 60 pints at 4.1A rating is FAR better than any other I found. This is REAL efficiency and pays for itself in SHORT timeframe. Frigidaire should REALLY advertise this superiority as its "selling feature" including payback time!

This dehumidifier is easily maintaining the desired humidity level in my basement. The noise level is acceptable, even with the fan running at top speed. Vibration is minimal. And the unit is heavier than the other comparable capacity units I have owned suggesting, to me, that it's construction is more robust than usual and will prove more durable..
